Outside the wire is a collection of pictures taken in the Khe Sanh area in 1967. Some are from MedCap patrols. Some are from choppers. Some are from other patrols.

This is Hwy 9 crossing the Roa Quon River near khe Sanh. The bridge is out and the road fords the river at this time.

The woman in the center is Mrs. Miller. She and her husband were missionaries with the Wycliffe Bible Translators. They worked with the Bru people trying to develop a written language for them.

This building was near the village of Khe Sanh. I would guess it was a farm of some type. There was quite a bit of livestock running around.

This monkey was a must stop on any MedCap patrol I ever went on. It was pet and chained in the tree. For many years I could never find anyone else who remembered it. Finally Jim Silver told me that he certainly recalled it, "The damn thing bit me".
